Dean Rutherford is a veteran flooring specialist with over 27 years of hands-on experience in delivering high-quality flooring solutions across a range of commercial and industrial environments. At Marlu Trade Services, Dean leads flooring operations as the Flooring Project Manager, where he oversees planning, installation, and quality assurance across diverse project sites.

Dean began his career in Scotland, where he completed his flooring apprenticeship and worked on prominent projects including the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh and the Celtic Football Stadium. Since moving to Western Australia over 17 years ago, he has managed numerous flooring installations across hospitals, gyms, commercial fitouts, and large retail environments. Prior to joining Marlu, Dean successfully led the flooring scope of works on the Barrow Island Project, where he coordinated teams to complete over 700 rooms, large-scale communal areas, and a 2,000sqm diner—all under strict schedule and safety requirements.

Dean now applies his deep technical knowledge and site leadership to Marlu’s flooring projects, ensuring precision, compliance, and client satisfaction. He is known for his problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver consistent results in high-performance environments.
