Andy Zhao is a highly experienced wall and ceiling specialist with over 30 years of hands-on expertise in plasterboard systems, steel framing, and internal and external wall and ceiling construction. He has delivered high-quality outcomes on large commercial, residential, and government projects across Australia, including schools, hospitals, court buildings, and mine sites.

At ProTrade Contracting, Andy leads the wall and ceiling team, applying his deep technical knowledge and proven leadership to deliver projects that meet and exceed Australian standards. With a reputation for solving complex site challenges and maintaining exceptional quality, Andy ensures each job is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.

Andy’s career has taken him across the country—from Queensland and New South Wales to Victoria, South Australia, the ACT, and Western Australia—giving him a broad understanding of diverse construction environments and regional project demands. In Western Australia, he has played key roles in major remote and regional projects. Prior to joining ProTrade Contracting, Andy served as the Plasterboard Project Manager on the Karratha Island Project, overseeing partial renovations to more than 200 staff houses and delivering internal wall and ceiling works for the Tambrey Village Shopping Centre. He also contributed to the Barrow Island Project, where he successfully managed the wall and ceiling works for the main diner amenities building.
